My personal experience with an M-16 during my days in Vietnam has made it easy to relate to the functionality of standard and premium paintball markers. Today, many players seem to prefer an automatic paintball gun. However, this setting can be rather expensive as you will deplete your paintballs faster, which also means you’ll be out of the game sooner. If you choose to carry an automatic marker, I recommend that you bring along an extra container of paintballs as part of your regular paintball armor.
In battle the grenade M79 carrier is the second most likely target after the radioman. Prepare your team with a defensive strategy to ward off possible attacks once the paintballs start flying. Load a paintball grenade launcher full of paintball grenades before you step out onto the field. This way you’re not neglecting your team’s protection by taking too long to set up while in play.
Because the sport of paintball requires just as much strategy as it does skill, prepare for your next paintball match or tournament by making yourself aware of your surroundings. Navigating through the course ahead of time will enable you to familiarize yourself with the course, which makes it easier to identify misplaced objects or shoe prints on game day. It’s always best to carry a map and compass incase you steer off track. In an effort to function as one force, each team member should be assigned specific responsibilities. And remember, play safe, play fair and have fun!
